Can anyone explain to me how decompression can rip seats from their moorings. My understanding is that cabin pressure is about 2/3 atmosphere while outside pressure is 1/3, so about half the cabin air is going to rush out the hole. How can that catapult humans into space and tear out seats which are bolted down? Could there be a Bernoulli effect owing to the airspeed? Even if so, it's hard to see that being sufficient?
